Who we are

Volta wasn't born in an office. It was born where most travel ideas are born: at the airport, doing baggage math.

If you've ever flown on a budget, you know these moments well. The backpack that has to fit under the seat. Wanting to bring everything with you, held back by a fee that costs almost as much as the flight (the alternative: wearing three sweaters at the gate). The suitcase that looks exactly like every other one at baggage claim. The plan to sleep through the flight that ends without even a nap.

Sound familiar?

Volta was born from these little frustrations: travel accessories created by travelers, for travelers. No complications, no big promises. Simple things that work.

And the name? In Portuguese, volta can mean many things. A Sunday stroll, a round-trip ticket, the trip around the world you still dream about. When we want to head out, we say "vamos dar uma volta": let's go for a volta. We chose it because it fits every journey.
